The Muslim community in Australia is growing. After extensive studies, research and observations, Vision Islam found that there has been a surge in the number of practicing Muslims, Mosques and Islamic centres. However, we discovered that there is a great shortage of knowledgeable people (Sheikhs/Imams) for the dawah. This dire situation has been the motivation behind the idea“ Seekers of Knowledge” program.
In order to fulfil the obligation of dawah effectively, we need a new generation of Callers to Allah (da’ees) who have grown up in this society. The graduates of this program will be qualified to teach Islam to the community in the language of the people with wisdom and understanding. Also they will call the wider Australian community to the true religion, treat their problems and interact with them in positive ways.
The “Seekers of Knowledge” program will be giving the opportunity for Australian residents, male and female (accompanied with a Mahram), to travel overseas, learn Arabic, memorise the entire Qur’an and study Sharee’ah (Islamic legal studies).
This program carries great importance and social responsibility, therefore Vision Islam is committed to facilitate and provide services to the students to undertake their studies until they graduate Insha’Allah.
Consequently, Vision Islam puts this Student Guide to you, dear reader, asking Allah the Almighty to make this program a success and praying that people join hands for the cause of spreading Islamic knowledge and ridding the Muslim nation of ignorance. We also ask Allah to give our community in Australia and the Islamic nation success, to lead us to all that is good, to provide us with sincerity in words and deeds, for He is able to do that.
Vision Islam requests reward only from Allah and is honoured to work on this project. We are hoping to gain a good reputation and earn the trust of the Muslim community. We hope to get your support with this program and also with future projects, including; da’wah, educational and tarbeeyah (personal development) projects, Insha’Allah.
We would like to express our thanks to all who contributed in supporting Vision Islam in general, and in particular to those who contributed to this project. This action is, Insha’Allah, a great deed – a Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity) that will continue to benefit the donor even after death. We ask Allah for the acceptance of our deeds and a good ending, and the same for all those who put in efforts towards the call for.
