Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was born to the tribe of Quraysh in the Arabian city of Makkah. This city had been built up around the Ka’bah, the structure built by Prophets Abraham ﷺ and Ishmael ﷺ in response to a divine command. The two prophets, to whom Muhammad's ancestry is traced, had dedicated the House for the worship of Allah, the one true God. But with the passing of centuries, the tribes of Arabia, while still acknowledging Allah as the Creator, had turned to polytheism and idol worship. Prophet Muhammad’s ﷺ trust in One God Allah, was absolute and had never caused him to drift with the tide of events. There are many incidents and lessons in the biography of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ which is an educational school from which Muslims inspire in every time and place the rulings and guidelines which suit them. I wish there had been an objective study to the biography of the Prophet [I mean dividing the Prophet's biography into topics] as (the topics of Tafsir) in which incidents and events are arranged according to their topics not according to time such as the topic of Jihad, Salah, manners, creeds, transactions, and other issues, then commenting and benefitting from them such as Fiqh-us-Sirah [understanding the Prophet's biography]. Wisdom and politics Hypocrites were a big hindrance before the call to Islam and did every possible thing to destroy the religion from inside, unfasten the Muslim society, and weaken their power. However, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ managed to avoid clash by his wisdom and policy, guarded the security of Medina and its people, and overpassed this hindrance by patience, forbearance, and good word. Preparations When Islam was well-established in the hearts of the Muslims, Allah decided that the time had come for His Messenger and his community to enter Makkah. They would purify the Ka'bah so that it would be a blessed place of guidance for the whole world. Mercy not slaughter When Sa'd ibn 'Ubadah in the squadron of the Ansar passed by Abu Sufyan he called out, 'Today is a day of slaughter. Today there is no more sanctuary.
